Trust In Jesus

I was walking down Spring Garden Road this afternoon when I overheard a conversation between a seemingly average middle-aged, middle-class lady, and a homeless woman of similar age.  The middle-class lady was in the process of reassuring the homeless lady that her lot in life would surely improve so long as she trusted in Jesus.  The homeless lady responded with thanks and assured the middle-class lady that she had been steadfast in her faith.

Perhaps it’s just me, but I’ve found believing in one’s self to be much more effective.
